General Information
The Sydney Roosters are committed to supporting our local community and are available for a limited number of appearances during the season. Numerous requests are made of the Roosters to have players appear at special functions, local sporting clubs, local schools and charity events, as a result the following procedure is in place.
Request Procedure
A formal request must be submitted in writing on letterhead, or via down-loading the form located below: All requests must contain the following information:
All requests must be received at least three weeks prior to the event and all requests will be responded to in writing, whether successful or not, within a 10 day period Due to the high level of demand for players and their strict training schedule, the Roosters cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your appearance request. The Club will make the final decision in relation to which player, if successful, will attend your appearance. The club will not enter into any personal appearances, eg birthdays, weddings etc. Local charities and community events will be given preference if there are conflicting commitments. All requests should be addressed to:
Request Procedure
The Sydney Roosters require appearance requests to be kept to a maximum of 1 hour. If you require an extension of this time you will need to discuss this with the club after your formal request has been submitted. Please Note: Sydney Roosters player appearances are community service, school, charity or sponsor related. The Sydney Roosters do not enter into any paid promotional appearances. These appearances should be organised through each individual player’s manager.
Request Procedure
Player availability is best between mid March until mid August, but please keep in mind that the business of football will always remain the clubs number one priority. Players are generally not available during the team’s two bye weekends each season. Many players have jobs / study or commit time to their families on their days off and during the off season, however, many Sydney based players like to be involved in community events and in some circumstances may still remain available during this time. Please note: the Roosters would like to discourage organisations making follow up phone calls due to the overwhelming number of requests that are submitted. |
